Job Exposure to Wildfire Risk in the American West

Resources for the Future recently published the report “Job Exposure to Wildfire Risk in the American West.” Findings include that “employment grew 0.5 percentage points faster annually, on average, in the highest wildfire hazard areas than in the region as a whole.” They note six of particular interest: Southern California, Denver/Boulder, Sierra Nevada foothills, southern Oregon, Flagstaff/Globe and near Salt Lake City.
