Multifactor Change in Western U.S. Nighttime Fire Weather

“The results of this study show that dry summer nights have become more frequent over most of the western United States within the career spans of many wildland fire managers.” Windy nights and those with deeper planetary boundary layers—which would also increase fire behavior—have increased in that time frame”.
