On October 14th, 2020 Fire Adapted Colorado and the Southern Rockies Fire Science Network hosted a webinar with guest speakers highlighting important aspects of post-fire planning for improved response and recovery following the occurrence of disastrous wildfire events within communities. One guest speaker was Nick Holloway of Missoula County, MT’s Office of Emergency Management, who described the role of Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COADs) as important partners with Traditional response and recovery agencies following destructive wildfire events. Nick’s PowerPoint from the Webinar can be found here.

An additional guest speaker was Kate Dunlap of Boulder Water. Kate introduced the Colorado Post-Playbook, an important tool that will assist communities in gaining greater efficiency and efficacy in their post-fire response and recovery. Kate’s PowerPoint slides from the Webinar can be found here.
