Piñon and Juniper Field Guides

SageSTEP is producing a set of three User’s Guides, one each for sagebrush ecosystems threatened by cheatgrass invasion, pinyon-juniper woodland encroachment, and western juniper encroachment. These guides will contain the latest information on how to evaluate these systems and how they are known to respond to available treatments. The guides are intended to help both public and private landowners make more informed decisions as they consider how to apply land management treatments under a wide variety of conditions.

Read the guides here.
