Routt Wildfire – Spring Stakeholder Conference

Routt County Wildfire Spring Stakeholder Conference on Friday 5/8. We have confirmed all speakers and panelists at this point and we’re just putting the finishing touches on the agenda. We’ll be covering some very timely topics, such as:
- CO Wildfire Resiliency Code – going into effect 7/1/26
- Fire Weather Outlook
- Wildfire Ready Action Plans in progress… we have three in Routt County!
- Formation of the Northwest Colorado COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster)
- Harrison Creek Prescribed Burn
- Homeowners Insurance, from policy level to the local landscape
And, of course, we’ll be looking forward to hearing brief updates from many of you… What are you working on? What are your areas of major concern? What are you looking forward to? And, where can we work together?
If you plan to attend but haven’t registered, please REGISTER so that we can account for your lunch and/or happy hour, which is confirmed at Mountain Tap Brewery!
Mitigation Project Coordinators: Please take a few minutes to SUBMIT any planned, funded & scheduled mitigation projects with Emergency Management so that there is ample time to update the CWPP dashboard. Projects do not need to have been listed in the CWPP… this is for any mitigation project. This is important as we contemplate updates to the CWPP.
This is shaping up to be a challenging wildfire season, so join us in considering what we can do locally and beyond…
